Beach, Bacon and Brewfest! Annual Event Would Make Elvis Proud!

It seems at CRT we often report on negative events. A necessary part of our mission, after all, is alerting our readers to wildfires, fire safety, and destruction to homes and towns.

But we need smiles too. That’s why finding fun that’s also educational is a win-win wherever we can locate it, and so important to us at CRT. And this is why we are so pleased to be participating in the 7th Annual Beach, Bacon and Brewfest in Lincoln City, held at Chinook Winds Casino Resort beginning at noon tomorrow.

Count us in!

Yes, Oregon is back with Sunnyvalley Bacon as the exclusive bacon sponsor and Bigfoot Beverages as the exclusive Brewer sponsor, and charities vying to have the best bacon. This year the Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce is in partnership to organize the charity cooking teams, including CRT. We believe we have an edge because beaches brew and bacon are among the things CRT loves!

Here’s how it works:

On this Saturday, tasting enthusiasts will enjoy samplings from more than 20 microbrews and ciders. Also on hand, and not to be missed, are charity cooking teams including CRT that will be competing and serving up “bacon bites” for you to enjoy.
The cherry on top, or should we say bacon, is that all bacon bit proceeds go to the various charities. Brewers with some of the best the Pacific Northwest has to offer will keep you coming back for more again this year.

All of this fun, food, music and beer is only $25 ($15 for designated drivers, bless them) a ticket for those 21 and over. Your entry includes $5 in free slot play, beer tastings, live music and the opportunity to purchase $1 bacon bites for tastings. The event is from Noon to 6pm with live music throughout the event.

A highlight? Don’t miss live music all day starting at noon and ending at 5:30pm, starting with the Boondock Boys and ending with the Hellcats. Sounds Rock’N’Roll to CRT! Charities compete for the ultimate bragging rights of People’s and Judge’s choice champions. So you have a vote! And as we said before,  every bacon bite dollar goes directly to participating charities. We hope you find ours the tastiest!

The unpredictable Oregon weather “promises” to be 58 degrees, but a raincoat is never amiss☺

Come join us and look for us at this wonderful charitable event, and like they say:
